Influenced by the sounds of Steve Earle, The Stones, Townes Van Zant, Muddy Waters and The Pogues, WLK brings this genre with their own unique twist to give you the sound you hear today.

What they're saying
I first heard and witnessed the music of the Wasteland Kings from LaGrande Oregon at the Walla Walla Street Concert series when evaluating bands for the Fair and Frontier Days along with a Fair board member. Being a life long working musician in Texas, Arizona, and Washington, I was pleasantly surprised when they took the stage and grabbed the crowd right away with a variety of music genres guaranteed to please the diverse Walla Walla crowd. And please they did! Musicality and stage presence was very good and vocals were spot on. They did do one thing that I had not seen with most other groups but I had found necessary with my show bands through the years. When time came for a break they had the presence to know that the crowd would diminish so they played without a break for two hours and kept nearly the entire crowd singing and dancing until they night was done.
When we had an act cancel last minute for the Fair the next week I called and hired them to fill in. They happily accepted and fit us into their schedule. They are high on our list for being a crowd pleasing and musically talented group. We hope to have them at future events here in Walla Walla when the time comes. No one can go wrong by hiring this savvy, talented group!
